With Barrie now ruled out for the contest, it appears as though Nate Guenin (head) could be healthy enough to rejoin the lineup. It's an unfortunate turn of events for the Avalanche, who will be without one of the more offensive-minded blueliners for Thursday's game, but Barrie shouldn't miss too much time because of it. His next chance to play now comes against the Flames on Saturday.
