Los Angeles Kings general manager Dean Lombardi said Jeff Carter is day to day and that the club's hopeful he'll rejoin the team as it completes a four-game road trip, according to LA Kings Insider's Jon Rosen.

Carter was forced from Saturday's game with an upper-body injury and it was initially feared that he would miss the rest of the trip.

The Kings are in western Canada for a three-game swing after beating the Arizona Coyotes. They'll face the Vancouver Canucks on Monday, Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, and Calgary Flames on Thursday.

Carter is the club's leading scorer with 28 points in 34 games.
