Bobby Ryan: Will not play Tuesday

Ryan (finger) will not play Tuesday night, when the Senators face the Panthers on the road.

Analysis:

Ryan aggravated his broken finger Sunday, limiting him to just eight minutes of ice time against the Lightning. Fantasy owners abound could use Ryan, a game-breaking offensive talent, but the Sens appear to have taken the smart route by holding him out with just one more game before the holiday break. After Tuesday, Ottawa will not return to the ice until Dec. 27, and Ryan is sure to be reevaluated ahead of that home contest against the Bruins.
