Philadelphia Flyers forward Sam Gagner has been cleared to play after suffering a concussion on Nov. 23, reports Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Gagner sustained the concussion when his face hit the ice after being checked into the boards by Carolina Hurricanes forward Brad Malone. He missed seven games because of the injury.

He'll have his first opportunity to rejoin the lineup against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

The 26-year-old has two goals and three assists in 18 games this season.
