Blue Jackets' Bobrovsky injured in loss to Kings

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky left Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Kings with an apparent injury.

Players called for trainer Mike Vogt to assist Bobrovsky off the ice with over five minutes left in the third period and his team leading 2-1. It's unknown how the 27-year-old suffered the injury, but Rob Mixer of BlueJackets.com indicated it's likely an upper-body issue.

Curtis McElhinney entered the game in Bobrovsky's place, allowing a late third period goal to Jeff Carter that sent the game into overtime, where defenseman Alec Martinez scored the game-winner for Los Angeles.
