Marchand thought Prust 'played with a lot more class'

Brad Marchand is less than impressed with Brandon Prust right now.

The Vancouver Canucks tough guy earned a $5,000 fine after spearing Marchand in a delicate region late in the third period of a dominant Boston Bruins victory on Saturday.

"I think part of my game is to get under people's skin and I thought that he played with a lot more class in his game. ... But clearly he doesn't have that integrity that I think a lot of people thought he had," Marchand said to reporters on Monday.

Prust showed no regrets for his actions Sunday, saying that it was "the best money I ever spent." Those comments did not sit too well with Marchand.

"I think a lot of guys, they're allowed to act and play certain ways on the ice, but I think you're supposed to respect your opponents off the ice," Marchand said. "If he doesn't want to do that, that's up to him and, like I said before, I don't care."

"I'm not overly concerned about anything he has to say. He's Brandon Prust. I'm not too concerned about him," he added.

Marchand and Prust will have an opportunity to renew hostilities when the Bruins host the Canucks on Jan. 21.
