Senators' Zibanejad won't play vs. Blackhawks following Gudas headshot

Ottawa Senators forward Mika Zibanejad will not play Thursday night against the Chicago Blackhawks after taking a hit to the head earlier this week.

He skated prior to the Senators' Thursday morning session, and head coach Dave Cameron said the 22-year-old is "closer" to returning to the lineup but won't play just yet, according to Sportsnet's Kyle Bukauskas.

Zibanejad left Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and didn't return after taking a headshot from Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas.

Gudas was suspended three games for the incident, but is allowed to practice with the Flyers while he sits out.

Zibanejad has four goals and 12 assists in 24 games.
