Plekanec was moved to a new line during Wednesday's practice, skating with Tomas Fleischmann and Paul Byron in preparation for Thursday night's game against Washington, the Montreal Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Head coach Michel Therrien tweaked his lines during Tuesday's win over Columbus and will keep the new lines intact Thursday. That means Plekanec will not skate with the team's best scorer, Max Pacioretty. Instead, David Desharnais will reunite with Pacioretty on Thursday.
