Dylan McIlrath is making his presence felt.
The New York Rangers defenseman knocked around a pair of Philadelphia Flyers during the first period of Saturday's game at Madison Square Garden, further endearing himself to the home crowd.
First, he rocked Nick Schultz with a thunderous check. Then, he pounded Luke Schenn, who had come to his teammates' defense.
Schultz immediately left the game, presumably under the NHL's concussion protocol, while Schenn was assessed a fighting major, a minor for instigating, and a 10-minute misconduct.
Following the first period, general manager Ron Hextall announced Schultz won't return to the game due to an upper-body injury.
