The Philadelphia Flyers took advantage of a controversial penalty in overtime to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday night.

The Predators were nabbed with having too many men on the ice after five men were clearly seen on the ice. However, the two extra men appeared to jump on to the bench before the Predators gained possession. That aside, a too-many-men call was awarded, much to the displeasure of head coach Peter Laviolette.

The call paved the way for Shayne Gostisbehere who rifled a one-timer past Pekka Rinne to put the nail in the coffin.

The goal was crushing to the Predators who saw Mike Fisher tie the game with just 20 seconds remaining in regulation.

The loss continues a slide for the Predators who are now 1-3-1 in their last five games and now sit six points back of the Dallas Stars for top spot in the Central Division.
