Gibson was considered the expected starter for the contest Friday and that's indeed the case. He's been filling in due to Frederik Andersen's illness, and has allowed just four goals in net total in two starts since joining the Ducks. He'll get another shot in net Friday, facing a Blackhawks club that's much better offensively at home than on the road this season.
