The aches and pains that forced Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer to leave practice early on Tuesday may have subsided.

Leafs head coach Mike Babcock said he expects Reimer to start Saturday against the Washington Capitals, according to TSN 1050's Jonas Siegel.

The netminder joined his teammates for practice Friday, three days after leaving the team's session following a reportedly awkward fall during drills.

Reimer, however, wasn't ready to confirm his availability for Saturday's game.

"We'll see how (it) feels tomorrow ... just got to make sure everything's all good to go," he said.

The Leafs haven't played since Monday's shootout loss to the Boston Bruins.

Reimer is 7-3-4 with a 2.07 GAA and .934 save percentage, the latter of which ranks third in the NHL.
