VIDEO: Devils lose game vs. Blue Jackets on controversial no-goal call

Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports / USA TODAY Sports

The New Jersey Devils got ripped off Wednesday, or so they think.

The Devils looked to have tied the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Adam Henrique's second goal of the game midway through the third period on a delayed penalty, but after a conversation among the refs and linesmen, the goal was waved off.

The goal was controversial in that there was no coach's challenge made by the Blue Jackets. However, the refs deemed they should have blown the whistle after Gregory Campbell appeared to have touched the puck.

The Blue Jackets would hold on for the 2-1 victory and now sit just seven points outside of the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
