Ducks' Lindholm will play vs. Flames

Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm (upper body) will return to action Tuesday against the Calgary Flames, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Lindholm missed Saturday's game against Tampa Bay with an upper-body injury, but was a full participant in Monday's practice, which was the first indication he would be good to go Tuesday against Calgary. Lindholm has had a relatively slow start to the season, tallying just six points (two goals, four assists) in 20 games. He has, however, racked up 43 shots on goal and 32 blocked shots over that span, so his lack of scoring has been somewhat offset by larger contributions in those peripheral categories. The 21-year-old blueliner is expected to skate alongside Josh Manson on the Ducks' third pairing in Tuesday's contest.
