Analysis:

Gerbe, who is only 5-foot-5 and 178 pounds, evidently needs more time to recover from a massive hit laid on him by Kyle Clifford of the Kings this past Sunday. As someone who has only registered three points in 20 games this season, Gerbe's absence should largely go unnoticed in the fantasy realm, but the Hurricanes will undoubtedly miss his tenacity and high level of energy on the lower lines.
