Coyotes' Downie placed on injured reserve

Arizona Coyotes forward Steve Downie (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

The exact nature and extent of the injury is still somewhat unclear, but Downie had already missed two weeks with the upper-body ailment so the move is more of a procedural one. Louis Domingue was recalled from the AHL in a corresponding move.
