Hamonic snapped his goose egg in his 20th game of the season in a 5-3 loss to Montreal on Friday.

Analysis:

Hamonic scored just 39 seconds into the second period to pull the Islanders within one. Even though the talented defenseman has requested a trade out of Brooklyn, the off-ice distractions have not seemed to make an impact on Hamonic's play. Hamonic was second among the Islanders in ice time and also fired seven shots on goal to go with his four hits. If he does get traded, the Islanders will have a big void to fill on the blue line. If he can score just a little more often, he could be a valuable fantasy asset.
