Wild's Zucker won't miss time after taking slash from Bruins' Beleskey

Jason Zucker was absent from Minnesota Wild practice Friday after suffering an apparent lower-body injury late in a loss to the Boston Bruins the night before.

He will, however, be back in the lineup for Saturday's game against Nashville, according to head coach Mike Yeo.

The forward was helped off the ice after time expired in the third period following a seemingly innocuous slash delivered to his left leg by Matt Beleskey.

Beleskey is not expected to face supplemental discipline for his actions, reports Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.

"I didn’t think it was that bad. I did slash him, but it wasn’t ... I didn’t try to break his leg," Beleskey said after the game. "I don’t think it did either. Hopefully, he’s all right."

That certainly appears to be the case.
