Following a spirited tilt Saturday between Central Division rivals that saw the Chicago Blackhawks beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2, a trio of players will reportedly be free of any supplemental discipline for incidents during the game.

Captains Jonathan Toews and David Backes will not face any further penalties for a pair of questionable hits leading to their second-period fight, and Blackhawks forward Marko Dano will not be disciplined for his hit on Blues rookie Robby Fabbri, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Toews and Backes dropped gloves after the Blues captain drilled defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson into the boards behind the Blackhawks' net three minutes into the second period. This came after Toews received a penalty for an illegal check to the head on Backes in the first.

Four minutes after the fight, Dano knocked Fabbri into the boards from behind after the Blues forward had already moved the puck up the ice. He was given a two-minute minor for boarding.
