VIDEO: Doughty blasts 1st of season through Luongo

Down 1-0 despite strict rule over the shot attempts past the halfway point of Saturday's matinee versus the Florida Panthers, the Los Angeles Kings were finally rewarded for their persistence.

Drew Doughty broke down the dam shortly after a Jeff Carter equalizer with a bullet one-timer fired through Roberto Luongo on the power play.

Doughty's goal was his first of the season, and while it's too early to tell if his goal with kick-start his season in the offensive end, it certainly spurred on his teammates. The Kings added a third goal less than a minute later.
