Three third-period goals helped the Columbus Blue Jackets claim a 3-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

The win gave the Blue Jackets their first win streak of the season (two) after dropping their first eight games.

Both teams entered the third period scoreless before the Blue Jackets struck for three straight, with goals coming from Boone Jenner, Cam Atkinson, and Scott Hartnell.

After stating late last week that he felt responsible for the firing of head coach Todd Richards, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves on 24 shots, coming just 2:28 away from recording his first shutout of the season.

Kyle Palmieri had the lone goal for the Devils, while Cory Schneider faced just 14 shots in the game and only six shots in the final period.
