VIDEO: Ovechkin's 1st goal of season one to remember

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Alex Ovechkin is off to the races.

The Washington Capitals superstar recorded his first goal of the season during Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils, and he did so in style.

The winger skated into the offensive zone, dropped a move on John Moore that simply couldn't be defended, and sniped the puck into the far-side top corner past Keith Kinkaid.

Ovechkin entered the season as a three-time defending Rocket Richard Trophy winner as the NHL's leading goal scorer.
