He's been dealing with an upper-body injury all throughout the preseason, so it's not much of a surprise that Halak will sit this game out. Until Halak is healthy enough to play, look for Thomas Greiss to start in goal. Halak's next shot to return will be Saturday against the Blackhawks, but considering he's sitting out Friday's opener, there's a very good chance he'll sit out again during that contest.
