Mitchell made a nice play to score a goal off his own rebound in Thursday's Opening Night loss to the Wild.

Analysis:

Mitchell sent Erik Johnson's pass towards Devan Dubnyk, who made the initial save before, but couldn't stop the second effort. The veteran fourth-liner saw a boost in playing time with youngsters Mikko Rantanen and Borna Rendulic riding the pine. Mitchell isn't going to set the world on fire, but offers decent production in the bottom six.
