Parise's hat trick helped erase a 4-1 deficit in Thursday's Opening Night win against Colorado.
Analysis:
Parise truly put the Wild on his back, collecting his third career hat trick to fuel Minnesota's come-from-behind win on the road. He ended Semyon Varlamov's shutout bid in the second period on a wrist shot. His second goal came at the doorstep on a rebound, and he scored the game-winning goal on the power play to complete the trick. The massive effort salvaged what looked like a sure loss and bailed out the Wild after they came out flat. If he can play with this kind of will all season, Parise is sure to exceed expectations.
