Olsen split time between the Panthers and AHL San Antonio last season, playing 44 games in the NHL and posting two goals and six assists in that span with a minus-7 rating. The former first-round pick in 2009 hasn't really materialized the way the team might've hoped, but at just 24-years-old, the big bodied defenseman could still become a NHL player down the road. He could be one of the first defensemen called up when injury strikes the Panthers' blue line.
