Justin Fontaine: Placed on IR

Fontaine (oblique) has been placed on injured reserve, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis:

Fontaine took a knee-to-knee hit in an exhibition game in late September, and it's also been reported that Fontaine has an oblique injury. The silver lining is that the forward was able to return to practice Tuesday, so hopefully the injury does not keep him out of game action for long.
