The Anaheim Ducks made their final roster moves Monday ahead of opening day.

The team assigned goaltender John Gibson, forwards Nick Ritchie and Chris Mueller, and defensemen Joe Piskula and Korbinian Holzer to the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League the team announced.

Gibson dressed in 23 games for the Ducks last season, posting a .914 save percentage and 2.60 goals-against average.

Ritchie was the team's first-round pick in 2014, taken 10th overall. He split last season between the Peterborough Petes and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 29 goals and 62 points in 48 games.

The team also announced that forwards Nate Thompson and Kenton Helgesen have been placed on injured reserve.

With the moves, the Ducks' roster sits at 23 players (14 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders).
