Capitals release Peters from training camp roster

Goaltender Justin Peters was released from the Washington Capitals' training camp roster on Monday.

Analysis:

Peters battled Philipp Grubauer for the backup netminder job behind Braden Holtby in the preseason, but it appears he's lost out. He'll likely end up at AHL Hershey to begin the season.
