The Philadelphia Flyers are looking for a little cap relief.
The club placed defenseman Andrew MacDonald on waivers at noon Monday, the team announced.
The veteran defenseman is entering the second season of a six-year, $30-million contract with the Flyers.
The 29-year-old had two goals and 12 points in 58 games last season.
