The Arizona Coyotes have returned Dylan Strome to the OHL's Erie Otters.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said Wednesday that Strome had a very good chance of cracking the opening night roster.

The 18-year-old was the third overall pick in June's draft, behind Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel.

Strome posted 129 points in 68 regular-season games for the Otters last season, adding 22 points in 20 playoff contests.

The Coyotes won't be short on fresh-faced talent, though, as Anthony Duclair and Max Domi have survived the final cuts.
