Coyotes release Potter from professional tryout

The Arizona Coyotes released defenseman Corey Potter from his professional tryout, the team announced Wednesday.
Potter signed a tryout deal with the club earlier this month.
The 31-year-old split last season between the Calgary Flames and the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Flames.
He went pointless in six regular-season and two postseason games with Calgary last season.
