Michael Dal Colle isn't quite ready for prime time.

At least, that appears to be the assessment of the New York York Islanders, as the 19-year-old has been sent back to the OHL's Oshawa Generals for a fourth season of junior hockey, the club announced Tuesday.

Dal Colle, drafted fifth overall by the Islanders in 2014, has recorded 96 goals and 140 assists in 186 OHL games. The Generals enter the 2015-16 season as the defending Memorial Cup champions, capping a playoff run in which Dal Colle recorded eight goals and 31 points in 21 games.

Dal Colle will join fellow first-round pick Joshua Ho-Sang, who was returned to the OHL after failing to arrive at camp on time.

Anthony Beauvillier, selected 28th overall, was also returned to his junior club, the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes
