Detroit Red Wings forward Johan Franzen is dealing with post-concussion-like symptoms and has been placed on the short-term injured reserve, according to general manager Ken Holland.

The 35-year-old was held out of Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning after the team reported Franzen wasn't at 100 percent.

Franzen appeared in just 33 games last season after battling concussion issues.

The team also confirmed forward Darren Helm will likely be out through the weekend, while forward Luke Glendening is questionable for Friday's game versus the Carolina Hurricanes with a lower-body injury.
