Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara may have to wait a little longer to make his season debut.

Head coach Claude Julien called Chara doubtful for Saturday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens, adding that the final decision on his defense corps for the contest won't be made until after the pregame warmup.

Chara missed the season opener against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday with an upper-body injury he suffered in the preseason.

The 38-year-old wasn't among the team's top three defense pairings at the morning skate Saturday, instead forming the fourth unit alongside Zach Trotman, according to the Boston Herald's Steve Conroy.
