Gary Bettman: Flames' proposed arena project important for fans, community

National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman released a statement Tuesday expressing his enthusiasm about the Calgary Flames' new arena project, which is set to be formally announced later in the afternoon.

The project includes a proposed new arena for the Flames, as well as a new home for the CFL's Calgary Stampeders, and an amateur sports field house.
