Flyers name Kim Dillabaugh goalie coach

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Flyers have a new goalie coach.

Kim Dillabaugh has been named to the position, general manager Ron Hextall announced Friday.

He comes to the Flyers by way of the Los Angeles Kings, with whom he spent the past eight seasons working as a development coach with the likes of Jonathan Quick, Martin Jones, and Jonathan Bernier.

Dillabaugh also had a successful run as an assistant and goalie coach with the WHL's Kelowna Rockets.

He will be tasked with getting the most out of Steve Mason and Michal Neuvirth.
