Drew Stafford had better invest in a good snow shovel.

The 29-year-old forward has agreed to a two-year deal worth $8.7 million to remain a member of the Winnipeg Jets.

Stafford was part of the seven-player February trade that saw Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian head to the Buffalo Sabres, while Stafford and Tyler Myers ended up in Winnipeg.

After landing with the Jets, Stafford impressed, earning 19 points in 26 games and adding another two points in four postseason appearances.

The unrestricted free agent and former first-round pick just completed a four-year, $16-million deal.
