The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to terms on a one-year, $875,000 contract with forward Chris Terry.

"Chris took another step forward last year and showed that he could contribute offensively at the NHL level," said general manager Ron Francis.

Terry, 26, appeared in 57 NHL contests with the Hurricanes last season, scoring 11 goals and adding nine assists in 57 contests.

He also spent five games with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers, adding two points in five games.
