Hurricanes resign Drew MacIntyre to 1-year, 2-way extension

The Carolina Hurricanes have re-upped with netminder Drew MacIntyre on a one-year, two-way extension, the team announced Friday.

MacIntyre will make $600,000 should he appear at the NHL level and $250,000 in his time with Carolina's neighboring AHL franchise.

He did not appear with the big club last season, authoring a 20-26-5 record in 51 appearances with the Charlotte Checkers.
