Youngstown Phantoms winger and draft-eligible prospect Kyle Connor was named the USHL's Player of the Year on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old Michigan native, who's committed to his home-state Wolverines for next season, tallied 34 goals and 80 points in 56 games.

He finished 13th on NHL Central Scouting's final rankings for North American skaters, and is expected to be chosen in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft on June 26.
