Stamkos after Game 6 loss: 'No time to sulk about it...we have to respond'

Steven Stamkos isn't going to cry about one loss and he wants to make sure that message is clear with his Tampa Bay Lightning teammates.

The Lightning were overwhelmed by the New York Rangers in a 7-3 Game 6 loss on Tuesday, yanking goaltender Ben Bishop in the process.

Stamkos was held scoreless in over 18 minutes of ice time and managed just two shots on net.

Head coach Jon Cooper agreed with his star forward's assessment and wants his team focused on the task at hand.

"We're going to respond the same way we have every time our backs are against the wall. You've watched it happen all year. You know how it'll go."

Tampa will travel to New York to square off against the Rangers in Game 7 on Friday.
