Patrick Maroon was the beneficiary of a beautiful passing play in the third period to give the Anaheim Ducks a two-goal lead with 5:15 remaining in regulation in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final on Monday.

Ryan Getzlaf forced a turnover near the Chicago Blackhawks' blue line and Maroon chipped the puck back to him before heading to the net. Getzlaf sent it across the high slot to Sami Vatanen, who fed Maroon for the tap-in on the doorstep.

Anaheim's advantage didn't last as Chicago captain Jonathan Toews scored twice in the final 1:50 of the period to force overtime.
