Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf made history in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night.

Getzlaf tied his own franchise record for points in a single postseason (18) with an assist on Sami Vatanen's first-period goal, then set a new record with a helper on Patrick Maroon's third-period marker.

Getzlaf picked up his 17th assist of this playoff run to go along with a pair of goals.

He set the mark in the Ducks' 14th game of the playoffs. Getzlaf needed 13 games to set the previous record in 2009.
