Report: No teams have asked Sens for permission to speak with MacLean or Richardson

There has reportedly been no interest in former Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean or current Binghamton bench boss Luke Richardson for any of the remaining NHL head-coaching vacancies.

No teams have asked the Senators for permission to speak with MacLean or Richardson, reports the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch.

Richardson was reportedly an early candidate for the Buffalo Sabres vacancy. He was an assistant coach with the Senators for three seasons when current Sabres general manager Tim Murray was in the Ottawa organization.

MacLean - winner of the 2013 Jack Adams Award as the NHL's top head coach - was fired by the Senators and replaced with Dave Cameron in December.

The Sabres, New Jersey Devils, and San Jose Sharks are all in need of a new coach. The future of Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien hasn't yet been determined, while the St. Louis Blues are reportedly expected to bring back Ken Hitchcock.
