Rangers' Zuccarello 'getting better,' upgraded to day-to-day

Anthony Gruppuso / USA TODAY Sports

For the first time in a month, Mats Zuccarello isn't listed as being out indefinitely.

The latest update on the New York Rangers forward came Sunday from head coach Alain Vigneault:

Zuccarello hasn't played since April 24 after suffering what is believed to be a concussion during Game 5 of the team's opening-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

While his return is by no means imminent, there's at least a chance Zuccarello could be ready to play should the Rangers advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
