Ducks making life hard for Blackhawks' Crawford: 'I got bumped the whole game'
The Anaheim Ducks are getting under Corey Crawford's skin.
Crawford knows playing through contact is a reality of goaltending in the playoffs, having backstopped the Chicago Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup championship in 2013. But he suggested the Ducks might be taking extra liberties in and around the crease following Anaheim's Game 3 victory Thursday.
"I got bumped the whole game," Crawford told reporters. "I've got to find a way to not get caught up, I guess."
The Ducks took five minor penalties in Game 3, but none of those infractions were for goaltender interference.
Crawford has played well despite the contact, posting a .939 save percentage through the first three games of the Western Conference Final. His biggest problem seems to be in the opposite crease, where Frederik Andersen has stopped 112-of-117 Chicago shots in the series.
