Capitals GM on Ovechkin's window to win a Cup: 'I would say the next three, four years'

The time for Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals to win is now.

"I would say the next three, four years, for sure," general manager Brian MacLellan told reporters, assessing the superstar's Stanley Cup window at the team's end-of-year press conference Monday.

The Capitals lost a nail-biter in overtime of Game 7 in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but MacLellan feels it was still a step in the right direction for a team that failed to make the playoffs last year.

MacLellan says his team is looking at the trade market for a top-line right winger to aid the team's captain.

The GM also hinted at the importance of bringing back the team's No. 1 goaltender, Braden Holtby.
