Max Pacioretty has confirmed what most already knew.

The Montreal Canadiens forward told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun that he did indeed suffer a concussion on April 5 against the Florida Panthers after taking a nasty spill into the boards.

"Those injuries you can't control the timeline. You have to listen to your brain, it's frustrating," Pacioretty explained on Thursday. "The first two days were awful. The symptoms were really bad the first few days. I was in lock down."

Pacioretty, 26, would be out of action until the first round of the playoffs, returning on April. 17 against the Ottawa Senators.

The forward was the Canadiens' top scorer in the regular season with 37 goals and 30 assists in 67 games. He trailed only P.K. Subban in Habs playoff points this season with five goals and two assists.
