The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Mackenze Stewart to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Stewart, 19, played 66 games for the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL, recording five goals and six assists to go along with 114 penalty minutes.

"We are extremely proud of Mackenze for signing with the Canucks," said Raiders general manager Bruno Campese. "He has worked very hard over the last couple of years to earn a National Hockey League contract."

The Canucks selected the youngster in the seventh round of the 2014 draft.
